Collaboration
Definition from The Oxford Dictionary: The act of working with another person or group of people to create or produce something WONDERFUL (I added the wonderful!).
I think it’s safe to say 2020 was a difficult and testing year for many of us personally and in business. However, although we stayed apart, I think in many ways it brought people together and we started to appreciate the things we took for granted. This solidarity, care and determination is what will lift businesses in the coming year, I hope that we will all continue to stand by each other and watch our communities grow from strength to strength.
On that note…
It’s easy to get into a routine during the day-to-day operations of our work and forget that there may be a better way to do something or a different technique to try. I believe it’s vital to get outside of our own heads to get a fresh perspective, trigger our creativity and review incoming information objectively.
I’m looking forward to broadening my knowledge of different business sectors and seeing how we can develop and diversify our skills to compliment each other, there is also great potential in reaching new audiences on either side. Something I like most about collaboration is that it is wonderfully old school, it’s reminiscent of the days when trade, word of mouth and reputation were key to a business’ success, there is no money involved just a common goal and an open mind.
